Artist: Ermira Murati (Orange Girl) Location: Pristina, Kosovo Photo Date: January 9, 2024
I turned a corner in Pristina and the whole side of a building stopped me; burnt orange, two faces pressed back to back, a single black heart tucked low where you'd almost miss it. I stood there longer than I meant to. Some walls don't let you keep walking.
This mural is the work of Ermira Murati, known as Orange Girl, a Kosovo artist whose work often challenges social norms and gives visibility to stories rarely seen in public spaces. Love is Love is Love was created in Pristina as part of a project exploring family, identity, and belonging through the experiences of members of Kosovo's LGBTQI+ community.
If you're the artist, or know how to reach them, we'd love to connect. Our goal is to properly credit and celebrate the artists behind the work we discover.
