Artist: Unknown Location: Beirut, Lebanon Photo Date: November 21, 2022
While exploring Beirut, this larger-than-life character caught my attention almost immediately. Set against a bright green circle, with X-shaped eyes, oversized sneakers, and an enormous smile, there's something wonderfully strange and cheerful about him.
Blockhead brings together bold colour, exaggerated proportions, and a playful character-driven style. From the oversized features to the smaller details scattered across the wall, it's the kind of piece that rewards a second look and leaves plenty open to interpretation.
If you're the artist, or know how to reach them, we'd love to connect. Our goal is to properly credit and celebrate the artists behind the work we discover.
