The Notorious B.I.G.

Artist: Unknown
Location: Woodstock, Cape Town, South Africa
Photo Date: April 12, 2022

While exploring Woodstock, Cape Town, this mural caught my attention with a face that was impossible to miss. The Notorious B.I.G. takes centre stage, but the longer I looked, the more the smaller details around him started to steal the show.

A bright blue cat rides behind him, a small white SUV sits below, and "OUPA" appears in a speech bubble. It's playful, strange, and packed with the kind of unexpected details that make you stop for longer than you planned.

If you're the artist, or know how to reach them, we'd love to connect. Our goal is to properly credit and celebrate the artists behind the work we discover.
