Some murals become destinations in their own right, and this was one of them. Two very different faces sit side by side on a wall in Woodstock, each immediately recognizable through bold shapes, colour, and expression. The contrast between them made me stop, and the longer I looked, the more details started to emerge.
Do It For SA carries the #DoItForSA mark associated with The South Africanist, a South African creative movement founded around active citizenship, positivity, and celebrating the country and its people. The colourful portraits and prominent campaign mark bring that message directly into the streets of Cape Town.
If you're the artist, or know how to reach them, we'd love to connect. Our goal is to properly credit and celebrate the artists behind the work we discover.
