Before arriving in Belfast, this was one of the murals I wanted to see in person. Painted across a former shopfront, the portrait radiates warmth from across the street. The smile catches your attention immediately, drawing you closer to take in the details and the story behind the person depicted.
Created by Belfast artist Glen Molloy, this mural honours Alice Eather, an Indigenous Australian poet, teacher, environmental advocate, and community leader. More than a portrait, the work is a public celebration of a life dedicated to community, culture, and protecting the places she loved.
If you're the artist, or know how to reach them, we'd love to connect. Our goal is to properly credit and celebrate the artists behind the work we discover.
